Advertising Day on the Hill
On March 30, 2017, President Michelle Leland and Diversity Chair Kristina Turner will be representing Alabama at this year’s AAF’s Advocay & Action: Advertising Day on the Hill. This exciting event is designed to dramatically demonstrate to lawmakers the power and passion of the advertising industry’s grassroots network – the members of the American Advertising Federation’s local clubs and federations from across the country.
With a new administration, many changes are coming to Capitol Hill and in the White House. One thing that will not change is the importance of the advertising industry making our voice heard. We still must explain to policymakers the value of advertising to consumers and the economy, and the harm that would come from harmful taxes or restrictions.
They will be meeting with Alabama’s Senators and Representatives in Washington, D.C. and want to take with them your concerns — the members of AAF in Alabama. Just fill out a postcard with your concerns, whether it’s advertising related or not, and they will deliver them while meeting at the U.S. Capital. Click here to print your own postcard or download, fill out and email to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
